Vegetarian Cooking Class Series (6 Classes)

After competing the series you will have full confident to create quick, healthy and flavourful meal for yourselves, family and  socializing. You will know how to mix, incorporate and create a healthy meal for you.

Highlights of the Cooking Class SERIES

Class 1: Building a Foundation (22nd Sept 2019)
Learn the basics of cooking that starts from introduction to essential kitchen tools – such as pots and pans. Basic spices – how to buy and store them, and how to make your own spice mix. Overview of cooking techniques for grilling, baking and broiling. You will learn how to create simple dips and pesto for quick flavorful salads, breads or pasta.

Class 2: Get to know your veggies (6th Oct 2019)
In this session, you will learn how to shop and cook farm fresh vegetables. We will go over simple and quick vegetable recipes that you can cook quickly to make a healthy meal. You will also learn what veggies go together and what does not. You will learn making dough for rotis and rolling them with your own hands to enjoy with the veggies that you cooked.

Class 3: Lesson in Lentils, Beans and Legumes (20th Oct 2019)
In this session, you will learn simple ways of making some healthy, tasty dals and also rice to go with it.
What is the difference between beans lentils and legumes?
Legumes are of the Leguminosae family. They enclose their seeds inside their pods – these seeds are the food that we eat. When both the seed and the pod are consumed – as with green beans and snow peas – the legume is considered to be a vegetable. Under the legume umbrella we have beans, lentils, peas, and peanuts.

Class 4: Learn to make Salad, Soup and Sandwich (3rd Nov 2019)
In this session, you will learn how to make salads, soups, and sandwiches which are easy to take to work, pack for kids’ school or for busy game nights.

Class 5: Breads of India and Pizza (17th Nov 2019)
This is a fun, hands-on session! You will learn how to make different doughs for different kinds of breads of India such as stuff paratha, roti, poori and also pizza dough and pizza.

Class 6: Deserts (1st Dec 2019)
We all crave for something sweet! Making easy and healthy desserts does not take long. In this session, you will learn how to make easy and simple desserts.

  1. Above class includes all ingredients and equipment.
  2. Copies of the recipes will be provided to each student to take home.
  3. After the cooking, participants can enjoy the full meal prepared during the class.
  4. Please inform Chef of any allergies or dietary restrictions that you have at least 7 days before the class, so that we can accommodate you based on your requirement.

General Policy:

  • Participants below 18 years of age are not allowed.
  • Each classes generally consist of 8-10 participants.
  • No alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
  • Please arrive promptly so that we can set up and start the class on time.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing, close-toed shoes and hair tied back, away from face for all the cooking lessons.
Liability: By participating in a class with Chef Veena you hereby agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Chef Veena/ Veggi Palate Cooking classes,and her company from any and all liability of any kind for any damages and/or injuries incurred in connection with attendance of the class.  By participating in the class you understand and accept the risks, accidents and injuries that are inherent in participating in a cooking class, including the risks inherent in the preparation, cooking and eating of food (such as raw or uncooked foods), and including the dangerous use of knives, kitchen tools, electronic kitchen equipment, and the use of a stove.
Knowing the risks, nevertheless, by participating in the class you hereby agree to assume those risks and to release and to hold harmless Chef Veena/Veggi Palate Cooking classes, and her company who through negligence or carelessness might otherwise be liable to you for damages.  It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on your heirs and assigns.
Refund Policy : Cancellations made by participant 5 days of prior to the scheduled class will be refunded in full but 50% within 5 days and no refund on no show unless discuss with chef.
Cancellation Policy : Veggi Palate reserves the right to cancel any class with prior intimation, If a class is canceled, we will transfer your full fees to another class of your choice or refund the same.
